Tim has lived in northern Virginia since childhood and takes pride in serving his community. After attending James Madison University, he worked as a teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools while also doing handyman work on the side. Tim was interested in working in the home service industry full time and made the decision to open Footprints Floors of Ashburn. Tim is focused on bringing top quality craftsmanship with excellent customer service to every project.

I hired Tim and his team to replace all of my laminate flooring due to a leak. From beginning to end, Tim exhibited excellent customer service. He knew I would be working with my insurance and ensured I had the appropriate documentation to send back to them. He also was quick to set up an estimate and turned around with the quote pretty quickly! The work took a bit longer than he initially estimated, but again, he and his team did great. They took about two days to complete all the work (replacing about 700sqft of laminate flooring with LVP and refacing my tiled fireplace with limestone). He paid very close attention to detail asking me my preference on things as small as grout color and spacing. He also made it very clear which items I would need to ask for/order from the supplier in order for them to complete the work. Even afterward, I had Tim come back for a few QA checks as I got settled into my space again and he made sure to tie up any loose ends and ensure our floors and fireplace were pristine and upheld to his standard of work. I am super appreciative of Tim and though I hope to not have to replace any more flooring in the future, he will definitely be the first on my list to call if I do! Thanks, Tim and team!

Adding a kitchen tile backsplash was a key part of the remodel effort which my wife and I were undertaken this early Spring. Online searches led us to Footprints based on the great reviews the owner Tim, and his crew received. Called Tim for an estimate and he responded immediately and was very patient in describing the tiling process to include giving us an estimate the same day. The price was very reasonable based on the online research we had done. Within one week Tim’s crew arrived and in less than a work day the 40 plus square foot job was completed. The tilers were amazing, professional in the extreme and meticulous in their work. When the job was finished they left our kitchen cleaner than when they arrived. Tim’s website stresses more of the wood flooring aspect of his work. Trust us, his tiling work is just as impressive. Do your self a favor and have Tim give your needs a look; you will be glad you did.

During the quote process, Tim clearly outlined how they would execute the project, patiently answered all of our questions, and tailored a solution to our particular situation. Kenneth and his crew mate were efficient and courteous as they removed the old tiles and installed the new ones. We appreciate Kenneth taking the time to ensure we were satisfied with the tile layout before laying tiles. The crew took appropriate precautions to minimize any dust/debris resulting from this process. We used Footprints Floors of Ashburn to install hardwood floors on our upstairs level (and it needed to match the hardwood floors on our main level) and to install LVP in our basement. Two sets of stairs also had hardwood flooring installed. Tim was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process and we are so happy with the results. We started the process while we were living out of the area and Tim was always prompt responding to emails and our many questions and he provided a wealth of information in his emails that we really appreciated. Once we moved back to the area he was great about getting samples to us and helping us navigate the many options of LVP that exist. Tim and his crew did an amazing job on all of the flooring in my basement. He did a very thorough job walking us through all of our options and talking through our concerns. His estimate was very reasonable and detailed which helped us understand everything he’d be doing, what materials we needed to purchase and what materials he’d supply. He was always on time, gave great advice, and communicated better than any contractor I’ve ever used. The tile work is excellent with perfect grout lines and even tiles throughout. The LVP had some tricky areas that they perfectly cut around to make it look seamless. I cannot recommend Footprint Floors enough!

We needed to have a 15 sf section of damaged hardwood floor replaced. A neighbor recommended Footprints Floors, which she used for a hardwood floor installation. I initially tried to do the repair myself and quickly realized that I was in way over my head. The damage was contained to a small area, but the damaged plank removal was very difficult because they were strongly glued instead of floated on the concrete sub-floor. So I then called Footprints to get an estimate. Tim (the owner) inspected the damaged area and we accepted his very reasonable estimate. He even offered to do the job himself. On the day the work was scheduled, Tim called to say that he would be delayed about an hour because he had to check in with his crew on a large installation. He arrived within the hour. That high level of communication and professionalism is rare these days and we deeply appreciate that. The job was more challenging than expected, but Tim persevered and the finished result is amazing! We highly recommend Tim and Footprints Floors!

I hired Footprints Floors of Ashburn from the other side of the country. We asked the entire top level of the house (LR, DR, Hall, 3 BRs and all closets) be refinished and done by the time we moved back into the home. We also decided to install matching wood flooring in our kitchen. Tim, the owner of the company, patiently listened to what I wanted and helped me select a stain colour through his evaluation of what I already had, and providing photos of the company's finished work. He even provided a photo of a couple of stains on my sanded floors for comparison and final selection. Even though I have not seen the floors in person yet, I am confident we chose the right colour and the floors were well done. Via photos, the new kitchen floor seamlessly matched the existing hall floors. And I am very happy with the colour we chose. Tim stayed responsive and communicative throughout the entire process, and provided in-process and after photos of the job which took just 2.5 days! After requesting a quote, they were in touch pronto and Tim came out to assess our floors soon after.
