Dariusz is the proud owner of Footprints Floors of Hartford. Originally from Poland, Dariusz immigrated to the United States in 2006, looking for the chance to build a better future for his family. He earned a degree in foreign trade, and worked professionally as a master electrician for many years, even owning his own business. Wanting to expand his experience, and move into other parts of home remodeling, Dariusz is branching into floor refinishing, as well as tile installation and shower surrounds. Having a vast knowledge of the trades and a great understanding of the construction and remodel process, Dariusz brings a great level of expertise to all the jobs he works on and oversees. His rich experiences, dedication, and commitment have shaped him into a skilled and accomplished professional, who is proud of both his personal and professional accomplishments.

Personally, he is married to Ela, and they have two sons, Filip, 15, and Evan, II. Dariusz is deeply involved in his children's lives, often attending Filip's swimming competitions and cheering on Evan at his soccer games, which he finds immensely rewarding. With a passion for an active lifestyle, Dariusz enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including traveling, boating, skiing on frigid days, biking in the summer, and ice skating year-round.

I think the photos speak for themselves, but to confirm what they're saying, my new floors are absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny! I closed on my first home last month and met Dariusz the afternoon of my closing. The floors were in horrible shape and I knew they had to be fixed immediately; they were throwing off the whole vibe of the house. They were soaked through with animal stains in several spots (the whole house even smelled like "dog"), there were BLACK marks that looked like burning, there were gouges and areas of scuff that wore completely through the original finish. I had just bought this house that I couldn't imagine calling "home" at the time. I had NO idea what I wanted. I didn't know the first thing about flooring. Every question he asked me I had to answer "I don't know." When he asked me what I wanted them to look like, I had to respond with "I don't know." I just knew I wanted them to look natural and nice, and that I couldn't deal with what was there at the time. I gave him no direction, otherwise! Dariusz considered the nature of the wood itself and recommended we do minimal staining to let the natural beauty shine through, and he was 100% right. He could have upsold me anything and I would have bought it! But his goal was no more than to leave me happy and with beautiful floors and it showed. I am so happy with this project and the outcome. Not only is the vibe of the house immaculate, but the dog smell is gone, too! Dariusz truly began the process of turning this house that I bought into my home. I wouldn't change a thing about it! Thank you!!
