Hi I'm Rich Ricciardi, and I am proud to be the owner of Footprints Floors Blue Ridge. After serving and retiring from government service after 26 years, My wife, son, and our golden doodle Summer, relocated to Bedford County from our last assignment in Estonia. We feel truly blessed to be able to call this area home, and are very excited for the opportunity to serve families in the Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Charlottesville areas in the flooring and tile and bath business through Footprints Floors.

I was born in Virginia, however, I mostly grew up in northern West Virginia. This is where I became a Pittsburgh sports fan. Typically on Sundays during the fall, following church, you will find me (sometimes my wife) supporting Steelers football! We both enjoy traveling and seeing/experiencing new things.

We are thankful for the opportunities we had to travel throughout Europe and the Mediterranean while living in Estonia. We also enjoy being active, whether it's attending the local crossfit classes, hiking, kayaking or simply enjoying the beautiful blue ridge area of Virginia. After searching for faith-based companies Footprints Floors caught my attention. I especially like their goal to always provide exceptional workmanship and service to the customer. Their strong commitment to serving the customer along with their family like atmosphere at the corporate and franchise levels made it an easy decision to join the Footprints Floors brand.

Throughout my life I have been fortunate to work in various jobs; the tile and gutter industry, sales with Sprint PCS, serving in the military with the USMCR and USN, and 22 years in the U.S. Secret Service. I have learned invaluable lessons over the years, especially the importance of having a servant mindset and winning the full confidence and trust of those you work beside and work for.

Our goal is to continue to build the Footprints Floors brand into a trusted business in the Blue Ridge area by always striving to provide exceptional service and quality workmanship to our customers. We also have a heart's desire to give back to local programs and charities through the Footprints Floors Blue Ridge business.

Working with Rich from start to finish was an absolute pleasure. He provided a fair quote and was able to start the job within a couple of weeks. His team kept me informed every day they were on site, and Rich was always available to answer my many questions before, during, and after the project. He installed factory-finished oak hardwood in one part of the house and refinished our existing pine floors in the other, even restoring our creaking staircase. The original pine floors turned out absolutely beautiful—renewed yet full of character. Even more impressive, they matched the stain perfectly, so despite the two different wood types, the finished look is cohesive and intentional. 10/10 — highly recommend!

The owner made sure to come out and do the final walkthrough of the house with me and inspected every inch of the floor. They made sure they cleaned up all the dust and everything too. Recently, we contracted with Footprints Floors to refinish our downstairs floors. Our house was built in 1947, and the floors were still the originals, and had not been refinished since then. We left the house for 8 days and let them work their magic. Rich and Jeremy and the crew did an amazing job and we could not be more pleased! They took pictures every day to show us how scratches and water marks came out. We were shown more pictures to make sure the new stains on the wood were the right tint, and then pictures to show us the finished product as the polyurethane began to dry. We could not wait to get home to see them! In addition, their dust mitigation was outstanding as clean-up was much easier than we thought. Their communication was outstanding through out the whole project, and then Jeremy came over for a final walk through after we arrived home. He told us to let us know if there was any problem going forward and presented us with a special tool to help clean the floors. They were professional in every way and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The only reason we gave them a 5-star review, was 6 or 7 was not an option!

We had them refinish our master bedroom floor and were so happy with there quality and efficiency we had them remove our daughters carpets in her townhouse and tile, and they replaced it with new hardwood floors on the entire upstairs and all new tile in her bathroom.
