Owner - Northeast Florida

Originally from Charlotte, NC, Josh did as so many other smart people have done, transplanted to Florida. He and his wife, Katie, left Charlotte, followed the Lord and moved to Jacksonville in 2008. He immediately sunk in his heels and began to lay roots in what he felt was the greatest place and opportunity to live. Coming from a wide array of professional backgrounds, ranging from Commercial HVAC to construction to Warehouse Procurement/Management, he has spent his last 10 years fleshing out his passion for serving the local church by holding a Senior Level Vice President role of a church management software company.

Charlotte will always be where he came from, but North Florida is home. In addition to knowing his way around home improvement, Josh has been actively involved in making North Florida a better place to live. He has served on many local civic boards, such as Athletic Associations, PTA President, School Advisory Boards, ran for local office, and served a number of local churches as an ordained Pastor. He believes that people come first and that he exists to make people’s lives better today than they were yesterday.

Hobbies and interests revolve around supporting his children’s many extracurricular passions: Dance, Gymnastics, Hockey, and Early College pursuits, just to name a few. When he finds time outside of that, he loves to travel and eat good food. Together, the Lord has blessed him and Katie with 4 children, ranging from elementary to high school, staying ever busy.

Footprints Floors NE FL did an outstanding job from start to finish in refinishing the common area wood floors in our 65 yr old house. From the start, Josh did an excellent job of reviewing the job, finding things that he would correct (that I didn't think about), and providing process details. Communication and punctuality throughout were great (attributes that one is hard pressed to find these days). He set the bar high in terms of service to be expected. And then Jeff came and executed wonderfully to plan. Couldn't be happier with the result and we will definitely be using them when we redo the bedroom floors.

I will definitely use Footprints Floors for any of my future flooring needs. I got bids from multiple companies to install new wood stair treads on my stairway. FF came in with the lowest bid and the best service offering out of all of them. They demo'd, removed all old flooring, installed and stained the treads. The other companies fees were higher and didn't offer to stain the wood treads for me. Footprints Floors are true professionals and their customer service is unmatched!! We have a natural bamboo floor that was damaged by flooding. Local people said it had to be replaced by "engineered wood flooring", Footprints reviewed the matter with their national experts team and concluded that if we waited a year to assure the moisture was gone, they could refinish the original floor. The results were fantastic. Even in areas that had previous damage, they made the results better than new. Really! These guys really know their stuff!

Josh and his team completed a mini reno for me last week, tiling my kitchen backsplash and continuing the tile from the common area into the master bedroom seamlessly. Tony and Jay worked diligently everyday they were here, paying attention to detail, especially when putting up the tile on the backsplash. Tony hand-picked each tile before putting it up and made sure the pattern flowed naturally and Jay masterfully cut tiny slivers to fill the smallest gaps in the most inconspicuous places, where others would sloppily fill the gap with grout and call it a day. The tile transition from the common area to the master looks as if it was always that way. Because this was an afterthought a year after the house was built, the tile did not match up when it reached the master bath. Tony chiseled a channel and installed a brass bar in the transition. Beautiful craftmanship. They accommodated any request I had with a smile and were very conscientious about their daily clean-up. I am most impressed and will have them back for future projects. Thank you, Josh, for all your advice and troubleshooting help! It was a pleasure working with you and look forward to working with you again.

Josh did a great job from start to finish. Our historic river mission church has original “heart pine” floors that were long over-due for some TLC. Foot Prints flooring restored those floors, including areas that were previously carpeted with glue, to an outstanding and magnificent refinish. Small details were addressed and his price was very fair. I would trust my project to Josh. Our church is so pleased with the entire process. Including concessions for both the refinish/relocation of a service on only one Sunday. They also professionally moved our baby grand piano with zero damage or incident’s. Josh (owner) came out personally and did all the floor repair work, even giving up a weekend day, to make sure we met my tight timeline.
