Mick is the proud owner of Footprints Floors of Miami and Broward, servicing the greater South Florida Area. He’s married to his lovely wife Kate, and they share a one-year-old boy named Miko. Originally, a native of Northeast, Ohio, Mick relocated to Florida over 20 years ago, in pursuit of a warmer climate.

Mick holds a Business Management Degree from the University of Miami and brings 17 years of experience in the United States Navy and Navy Reserves, where he still serves today. Included in his vast experience are successful career stays in Financial Advisory work, Healthcare Business Development, and notably Construction Project

Management while in the Navy. His past roles primarily focused on leading project management and business development teams, including global projects providing expeditionary base construction to forward-deployed U.S. forces. Mick is thrilled to bring his diverse background to the South Florida market and continue Footprints Floors expansion.

In his free time, Mick enjoys spending time with Kate and Miko and continuing his service in the United States Navy Reserves.

They are gone replaced with a smooth even transition. Carpets gone now beautiful laid tile with matching grout. They are truly experts. Mick is a excellent communicator - very professional and open, fair pricing, honest and highly efficient. Once I decided on hiring Footprints Floors with Mick, a team - Windson and Herbert - were dispatched to install the LVP flooring. They arrived promptly at 8:30 as they said they would, and began working immediately. Their work is flawless and they were very pleasant and respectful of me and my home. Upon completion of the installation they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. I truly appreciate Mick's honesty and fair competitive pricing. Additionally, Windson and Herbert (the installers) did a high quality, outstanding job. My highest recommendation for this company.

From the initial contact with the appt desk I knew I had called the right number. 1. Appt desk receptionist was kind, energetic, friendly and professional. 2. Appt was made for a quote, I received emails confirming the appt. And a final call 15 minutes before arrival. 3. Mick, the owner, extremely professional and HONEST. The tiles on my balcony in Miami mysteriously broke off their base, leaving a huge mess. I initially contacted a contractor from another company. They told me my balcony required 170 sq. ft. of tiles because they measured it as 140 sq. ft., then quoted $4,000 to fix the job and requested 70% upfront via Zelle. When I expressed a preference to pay by credit card, they added an extra 4% fee. Throughout the process, they were almost impossible to reach—rarely returned calls—and once sent a message saying they could only give me 10 minutes and asked me to select a time slot. When I pointed out that my measurements showed the balcony was only 85 sq. ft., requiring fewer tiles, he abruptly told me he would be unable to work with me and refused the job. > > Feeling unsatisfied and concerned about the lack of transparency, I then contacted Mick Nemet of Footprints Floors. I’m so glad I did. The difference in quality and professionalism was remarkable. Mick was courteous, transparent, and excellent at explaining what needed to be done. Mick and his team did incredible work in our 3 bedroom/3 bath Hialeah apartment. This unit had original floors from 1970. They obtained permits quickly, the demo team prepared the floors in 1.5 fqts. The next team came to lay soundproofing and had the inspector out immediately. They continued on with work for about a week and the results speak for themselves. These before and after photos are amazing. Mick has an amazing team and gave is a great price. He helped to save money during the process and is super transparent about pricing. He is trustworthy and professional. Definitely will work with Footprints again in the future!
