I am renovating a small, 4-room 1930’s cottage with original narrow maple floors downstairs and original pine floors upstairs. The downstairs floors were very worn; the pine floors upstairs had many coats of paint, and one of them had a very ratty carpet over the painted floor.
Ralph came promptly to give me an estimate and some very good advice. The job was scheduled rapidly and the team did a beautiful job of refinishing all four rooms plus the oak staircase.
My little cottage has been transformed, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the job.

Even when we hit an unexpected road bump (absolutely nothing Ralph and his team could have prevented or foreseen) he managed to keep us on schedule and talked us through our options multiple times to make sure we found an option that worked for us budget-wise while still insuring the integrity of our new floors. We only did our first floor for now, but I have zero doubt in my mind that we will pick Floorprints again when we do our second floor!

Great work on our basement reno, including some tricky leveling work. We had them recommend and supply materials. The LVP install was fast and looked fantastic. Price was more than big box retailers but so worth it for the quality of work and durability of the floor. Would definitely go to Footprints Floors again for future projects.

We had a difficult challenge for Ralph and his team in completely renovating an 1800 sq. foot Ranch home. We required the necessity of having about 3 months to complete other renovation work on ceilings and walls. His crew worked worked to complete bedroom work on each side of a large common area and then returned to complete the center section between the previously completed work.
They returned to complete our center section at the time we requested but they ran into significant quality and availability issues with a nearly 50% breakage on materials. Ralph contacted Shaw flooring at least a dozen times to report the quality issues and request additional material. We had to wait several months for Shaw flooring to restock the product and ship it to us so that the job could be completed.
Ralph handled our difficult job with reassurance that they would correct the situation as soon as enough product became available.
Ralph not only delivered on his promise but he stayed in regular contact with us throughout throughout the many month delay as we continued to see additional problems develop with the flooring material.
If you want to do business with a small business owner who does what he says he will do even in difficult and adverse circumstances beyond his control, I highly recommend Footprints Floors of Maine and owner Ralph Clark.
We trusted him and while we were waiting for the material so he could resolve our LVP issues on our first floor we hired him to install tile throughout our basement. His crew did an excellent job in a very timely manor for us in that area as well.
