We have a sixties rancher with oak floors which were refinished by Terrence and his team using a neutral stain and 2 coats of oil based polyurethane. The floor looks fantastic. Completely satisfied.

Footprints Floor Richmond is a highly professional and personable flooring company. Scott explains their services, details the steps of the project, provides cost competitive quotes. Ken manages the projects effectively and ensures all goes well and the customer is totally happy with their work. They leave NO MESS!!! They totally clean up behind themselves. Over the past two years, Scott's team have replaced vinyl flooring in four of my bathrooms and laundry room. They just recently, November 2024, completed tiling work in my owner's bathroom renovation. They removed the old flooring, replaced with tile, did the baseboard trim, and tiled the walls/niche around the vanity with mother of pearl tile. It is absolutely gorgeous. I am totally satisfied. (Disregard the lighting in the picture. The new lights will be more modern and centered when they arrive. Obviously this is not within scope for Scott's team.) They will be back to lay hardwood floors in my downstairs level and to tile the backslash in my kitchen. I would definitely you recommend you give them a try.

I could not be happier! Our floors turned out incredible. We bought the house from another state and the floors were UV damaged and splotchy and very red/pink. Scott communicated and worked with us via text/phone and we were able to get his team in to do the work before we moved in which was AMAZING. I am big on communication during these types of projects and you get your own project manager (Jonatan was excellent!) who keeps you updated and informed throughout the process. I was blown away by the work. They are perfectionists with sanding and staining. My newly refinished floors are a dream in my 100 year old original wood home. I cannot say enough good things about Footprint Floors. Highly recommend!! UPDATE: I accidentally got a stain on my new floors while stripping paint on my steps. I texted my project manager, Jonatan, and he asked around before providing me the best solution for the stain. That method didn’t work so he came out to sand it down and refinish it. This was weeks AFTER I paid and left a glowing review. This company truly cares about their customers and goes above and beyond. I’m blown away by the exceptional service.

Footprint Floors is a rarity in the wild west of construction. My job required some out-of-the-box thinking. Instead of the standard no we can’t do that response. Scott and his crew at Footprints Flooring took on a complicated floor repair and finishing job in our 1867 built home on a short timeline. Working with them was a pleasure. He worked above and beyond expectations to finish quickly and with excellent results. Footprints would be my first choice for hardwood flooring in the future. When the materials were unavailable to meet our needs on our timeline they worked overtime to source and mill the wood onsite and actually saved us money

I got a quote for my living room to replace carpet with LVP and within a week the work was completed. It was very simple and easy. You do, in some cases, have to buy the materials yourself so I recommend you are very clear on what you need to buy with the estimator (I.e transition materials). Would use this group again!

From the appraisal to the end of the job, they were awesome. Eddie the appraiser, worked with me and showed how they could correct a bad job on ceramic tile repair and how they could correct it. He helped me through the process and told me when they were coming. He checked the grout to match my old grout and made sure everything matched. The tile man came on time and did amazing job. Jonatan came and checked on the job to make sure everything was going great and then came back and checked how it looked when finished. It was a great experience working with this company. I was so impressed.

Have a mid-Century trilevel with unfinished oak floors. Footprints brought back the floors to life. Maybe not the cheapest but certainly the best in RVA.

Only thing I will mention is if you want flooring under your hot water heater make sure to have it drained and moved before footprints arrives as they are not licensed drain water heaters. The young men who worked on our floors- we had a crew install both hardwood & also vinyl planks and a different crew who refinished stairs and a room- were all extremely hard workers, polite and cleaned up after their work each day. The project manager, Jonatan, was also polite and followed up with us daily and had a good rapport with the crews. We would definitely have them back to do additional work at our house.

My home was built around 2000. I had hardwood floors throughout my downstairs except my living room was wall to wall carpet. With two dogs and lots of age, my carpet only came so clean after professional cleaning. It was embarrassing. I had it in my mind to look into replacing the carpet with hardwood floors. Without any recommendations, I googled hardwood floors in the Richmond area. Footprint Floors was the first of three websites that I found and reached out to. It was only a few days before Scott, the owner, came to my house to talk with me about what my thoughts were. I knew that replacing the carpet in the living room was number one, so that was the first idea. The second idea…If I could have it my way, I would have hardwood flooring put into the living room and have all existing downstairs flooring sanded and stained with the darker brown stain to match the new flooring in my living room and give my floors a contemporary look and a much-needed upgrade. We went around downstairs and Scott called out measurements as I wrote them down. He did some figuring and let me know a breakdown of costs as well as the total cost to have all my entire downstairs with refurbished hardwood flooring stained in a darker brown. I was surprised by the total cost. I had the job priced by two other flooring companies and Footprint Floors was the lowest cost. It did not take me long to say, “Let’s do this.” The work started a week to 10 days later. Scott told me what to expect. Jonatan who headed up the project communicated with me each day and answered questions I had while Scott checked in as well. I’ve got to tell you; my floors look amazing! My downstairs went from ho-hum to extremely classy and contemporary. It is a show place! The price was quite affordable and the flooring is first class, no doubt. I know that if and when I resell the house, these improvements are going to raise the value big time. But I don’t really want to sell because I am so pumped up about my space now. The men who did the work came on time, worked professionally, did a great job, cleaned up all of the area after the installation, helped us move furniture around to allow for the installation, and took away all rubbish from the job. I called Footprints eight days before I was moving into my home. Scott came out to look at my project the following day (Friday), had his crew mobilized on Monday, and the project completed on Wednesday so the floors had time to dry before my movers arrived on Friday. I was truly amazed that they were able to squeeze me in and get my floors refinished before I moved it - it would have been a huge pain at any other time. The floors turned out great and I have nothing but positive feelings toward the experience!

We had a subway tile backsplash installed in our kitchen by an “artist” from Footprints Floors. I use artist because his work was meticulous and beautiful. The backsplash makes a huge difference in the look of our kitchen in addition to protecting the wall from splashes. I recommend this business wholeheartedly!

I contacted Footprints Floors after a botched installation AND reinstallation of our bathroom floors through a big box store. We had lived without toilets and half finished floors for two months at this point and the quotes I was getting from other companies were astronomical and they were booked out for months (a lot of companies wouldn't even call me back or provide a quote after they heard how small the job was). I was contacted promptly after requesting a quote online and Mike came out to measure our bathrooms within the week. The quote was very reasonable and he was able to get me scheduled for installation in TWO WEEKS!! Scott (the owner) and his team were able to get the old tile and vanities out, LVP installed, and molding/quarter round installed in both bathrooms in roughly six hours (and even arrived early because I had to get my daughter to an appointment that morning). I am so thankful and in love with my floors and can't wait to have them come back to do our kitchen floors! Update: We had Footprints Floors return in March 2022 and replace the carpet on the landing and two bedrooms with the same LVP. Again, a seamless process and we love our floors! There's supposed to be a fee for any furniture you leave in the room that they have to move around, but they were gracious enough to not charge us for my daughter's crib and a large cabinet that we couldn't get out of her room. These guys did an amazing job refinishing our floors. I originally called to get a hole repaired in the floor where DISH drilled in the wrong place, and after calling every hardwood floor company in town, these guys were the only ones that responded, did a perfect job with the hole, so we decided to have them refinish the floors and never called another sole

Footprints Floors did an excellent job on my flooring project. Footprints installed engineered hardwood flooring for me. Before doing so, Footprints had to remove some old carpet, vinyl, and wood flooring. Footprints did an amazing job removing the old flooring and preparing the subfloor for the new wood. This was a critical step because a flawed subfloor can wreck a flooring installation. I was impressed by the speed and attention to detail the installers showed. Scott told me my flooring replacement project would take a day and the installers delivered. Speaking of Scott, I have rarely worked with a company owner who is more responsive. When Scott looked at my job, he gave me some excellent advice on product selection. Overall, this flooring project was a great experience.

Footprints Floors removed the old wall to wall carpet from our three upstairs bedrooms and installed LVP flooring. It is so beautiful and feels good underfoot. The team did an excellent job of working the flooring around the radiator pipes, as I knew that wouldn't be easy. They cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished.
