Footprints Floors did a very good job installing hardwood tiles in our family room, including staining & installing "transition molds". They worked with our availability, by a July 4 vacation date.

He kept in touch with me during the weeks before our scheduled time. On the job date he let me know when he & his crew would arrive & they were right on time. From the estimate to the execution, Footprint Floors was excellent! I am big on communication during these types of projects and you get your own project manager (Jonatan was excellent!) who keeps you updated and informed throughout the process. I was blown away by the work. They are perfectionists with sanding and staining. My newly refinished floors are a dream in my 100 year old original wood home. I cannot say enough good things about Footprint Floors. Highly recommend!! UPDATE: I accidentally got a stain on my new floors while stripping paint on my steps. I texted my project manager, Jonatan, and he asked around before providing me the best solution for the stain. That method didn’t work so he came out to sand it down and refinish it. This was weeks AFTER I paid and left a glowing review. This company truly cares about their customers and goes above and beyond. I’m blown away by the exceptional service.

Footprint Floors is a rarity in the wild west of construction. My job required some out-of-the-box thinking. Instead of the standard no we can’t do that response. Scott the owner said “I’ll figure it out and make it happen”. Which is exactly what they did and I ended up with a gorgeous ceramic floor in my new Florida room.

Excellent refinishing of my hardwood floors. From initial consult to final day of work, everything was smooth and easy. My "new" floor looks great! They were even able to correct a spot of heavy water damage.

Scott and his crew at Footprints Flooring took on a complicated floor repair and finishing job in our 1867 built home on a short timeline. Working with them was a pleasure. He worked above and beyond expectations to finish quickly and with excellent results. Footprints would be my first choice for hardwood flooring in the future. When the materials were unavailable to meet our needs on our timeline they worked overtime to source and mill the wood onsite and actually saved us money

I got a quote for my living room to replace carpet with LVP and within a week the work was completed. It was very simple and easy. You do, in some cases, have to buy the materials yourself so I recommend you are very clear on what you need to buy with the estimator (I.e transition materials). Would use this group again!

From the appraisal to the end of the job, they were awesome. Eddie the appraiser, worked with me and showed how they could correct a bad job on ceramic tile repair and how they could correct it. He helped me through the process and told me when they were coming. He checked the grout to match my old grout and made sure everything matched. The tile man came on time and did amazing job. Jonatan came and checked on the job to make sure everything was going great and then came back and checked how it looked when finished. It was a great experience working with this company. I was so impressed.

Have a mid-Century trilevel with unfinished oak floors. Footprints brought back the floors to life. Maybe not the cheapest but certainly the best in RVA.

I am so happy with my new beautiful floors. Footprints floors was great to work with! Scott was great with communication and answering all my questions! They were so quick, the demo took 1 day, and flooring took a day and a half for the entire house! Highly recommend! Jonatan managed the project throughout and everyone did a fantastic job! Only thing I will mention is if you want flooring under your hot water heater make sure to have it drained and moved before footprints arrives as they are not licensed drain water heaters. Thank you guys so much! It looks so great!

The young men who worked on our floors- we had a crew install both hardwood & also vinyl planks and a different crew who refinished stairs and a room- were all extremely hard workers, polite and cleaned up after their work each day. The project manager, Jonatan, was also polite and followed up with us daily and had a good rapport with the crews. We would definitely have them back to do additional work at our house.

My home was built around 2000. I had hardwood floors throughout my downstairs except my living room was wall to wall carpet. With two dogs and lots of age, my carpet only came so clean after professional cleaning. It was embarrassing. I had it in my mind to look into replacing the carpet with hardwood floors. Without any recommendations, I googled hardwood floors in the Richmond area. Footprint Floors was the first of three websites that I found and reached out to. It was only a few days before Scott, the owner, came to my house to talk with me about what my thoughts were. I knew that replacing the carpet in the living room was number one, so that was the first idea. The second idea…If I could have it my way, I would have hardwood flooring put into the living room and have all existing downstairs flooring sanded and stained with the darker brown stain to match the new flooring in my living room and give my floors a contemporary look and a much-needed upgrade. We went around downstairs and Scott called out measurements as I wrote them down. He did some figuring and let me know a breakdown of costs as well as the total cost to have all my entire downstairs with refurbished hardwood flooring stained in a darker brown. I was surprised by the total cost. I had the job priced by two other flooring companies and Footprint Floors was the lowest cost. It did not take me long to say, “Let’s do this.” The work started a week to 10 days later. Scott told me what to expect. Jonatan who headed up the project communicated with me each day and answered questions I had while Scott checked in as well. I’ve got to tell you; my floors look amazing! My downstairs went from ho-hum to extremely classy and contemporary. It is a show place! The price was quite affordable and the flooring is first class, no doubt. I know that if and when I resell the house, these improvements are going to raise the value big time. But I don’t really want to sell because I am so pumped up about my space now. This is an upstairs mast bath. I performed the demo and they did he tile work. They did an excellent job. They had layout and finish suggestions I didn't think about. They cleaned up everyday and used cloth runners in the house. I would definitely recommend this company.

On the day of my initial visit Scott called ahead and arrived on time. When he arrived he didn't walk on our grass and took his shoes off when he entered our home. After inspecting the damage and taking photos he gave me a great estimate. He told me he was going to his car, when he returned he had tools in hand and said "I may be able to fix it today!" To my surprise he sat down and began to work. As I watched him, I teared up. Not only was he professional, personable, kind and respectful he's also skilled. Scott Thank You so much! The men who did the work came on time, worked professionally, did a great job, cleaned up all of the area after the installation, helped us move furniture around to allow for the installation, and took away all rubbish from the job. They were great. Each one was very polite, respectful, patient with our questions and needs, and left a very positive impression on us. The job was estimated to take two days, but they finished in one. That's unusual, but it was nice to have it completed ahead of time instead of later. Thanks!

Footprints did a great job on my floor. They were able to start quickly and finished when they said they would. The price was competitive and when they found old staining once the floors were sanded, they helped me choose the best path forward. The floors look great now!

I called Footprints eight days before I was moving into my home. Scott came out to look at my project the following day (Friday), had his crew mobilized on Monday, and the project completed on Wednesday so the floors had time to dry before my movers arrived on Friday. I was truly amazed that they were able to squeeze me in and get my floors refinished before I moved it - it would have been a huge pain at any other time. The floors turned out great and I have nothing but positive feelings toward the experience!

We had a subway tile backsplash installed in our kitchen by an “artist” from Footprints Floors. I use artist because his work was meticulous and beautiful. The backsplash makes a huge difference in the look of our kitchen in addition to protecting the wall from splashes. I recommend this business wholeheartedly!

Footprints Flooring took out our old tile floor and laid a new floor. From the estimate to the work, they were communicative, efficient, and professional. The work was done well and even faster than we anticipated. The crew cleaned up after, and the project manager communicated with us during the install and came to check the work after completion. I contacted Footprints Floors after a botched installation AND reinstallation of our bathroom floors through a big box store. We had lived without toilets and half finished floors for two months at this point and the quotes I was getting from other companies were astronomical and they were booked out for months (a lot of companies wouldn't even call me back or provide a quote after they heard how small the job was). I was contacted promptly after requesting a quote online and Mike came out to measure our bathrooms within the week. The quote was very reasonable and he was able to get me scheduled for installation in TWO WEEKS!! Scott (the owner) and his team were able to get the old tile and vanities out, LVP installed, and molding/quarter round installed in both bathrooms in roughly six hours (and even arrived early because I had to get my daughter to an appointment that morning). I am so thankful and in love with my floors and can't wait to have them come back to do our kitchen floors! Update: We had Footprints Floors return in March 2022 and replace the carpet on the landing and two bedrooms with the same LVP. Again, a seamless process and we love our floors! There's supposed to be a fee for any furniture you leave in the room that they have to move around, but they were gracious enough to not charge us for my daughter's crib and a large cabinet that we couldn't get out of her room. These guys did an amazing job refinishing our floors. I originally called to get a hole repaired in the floor where DISH drilled in the wrong place, and after calling every hardwood floor company in town, these guys were the only ones that responded, did a perfect job with the hole, so we decided to have them refinish the floors and never called another sole

Footprints Floors did an excellent job on my flooring project. Footprints installed engineered hardwood flooring for me. Before doing so, Footprints had to remove some old carpet, vinyl, and wood flooring. Footprints did an amazing job removing the old flooring and preparing the subfloor for the new wood. This was a critical step because a flawed subfloor can wreck a flooring installation. I was impressed by the speed and attention to detail the installers showed. Scott told me my flooring replacement project would take a day and the installers delivered. Speaking of Scott, I have rarely worked with a company owner who is more responsive. When Scott looked at my job, he gave me some excellent advice on product selection. Overall, this flooring project was a great experience.

Footprints Floors removed the old wall to wall carpet from our three upstairs bedrooms and installed LVP flooring. It is so beautiful and feels good underfoot. The team did an excellent job of working the flooring around the radiator pipes, as I knew that wouldn't be easy. They cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished. Scott the owner checked in with the crew several times throughout the day. The team worked hard and only took a break for lunch. I highly recommend this company.

Along the way, we had a few bumps, but I think in this line of business, you’ll find that anywhere and at anytime. We purchased a house "as-is" from a bank as a foreclosure that included improperly installed laminate all throughout the first floor. It was so bad that there were multiple "bubbles" that rose up six to eight inches off of the subfloor and, as it was a severe tripping hazard, needed to be replaced immediately. We contacted Footprints and Scott came out quickly to look at the damage and give us an estimate. We were happy with the cost and Scott's professionalism and got on his calendar. The install was done quickly and we were impressed with both the project manager Jose and his workers. They leveled the floor, which had not been done by the prior contractors, and now we have beautiful LVP that is no longer a safety issue. Thanks Scott!

So glad we contracted Footprints for our laminate wood flooring installation. The owner, Scott, was professional and thorough even though our job was small. When my old gas stove was removed there were no floor tiles behind or under it. The guys who had laid the tile floor and worked around the stove. I called around and no one was interested in the small job. Luckily I found Footsteps Floors and the receptionist responded quickly, friendly and soon the owner showed up to assess the job, and later sent a man who did a beautiful job on the floor and wall. We hired the team to do a full shower install and tile floors in our master bath. Worked directly with the team members Jose and Silvan to install bamboo flooring on the first floor of our ~1500 square foot home and they knocked it out in 1 day. We were extending the same flooring that had previously been installed elsewhere, and Jose took the extra time to determine that if we would have laid the flooring in the same direction as the previous owner it would have voided the warranty. Super thankful for the extra care taken and the experience that Jose, Silvan, and his team took to do the job right the first time.
