Dan Hermansen owns and operates Footprints Floors of Kansas City with his lovely wife, Laura. They have three children together, Wylie, Brooke, and Brodie. Like many of you, Dan spends his day making friends with strangers and driving around in his truck. He has become reasonably decent at this flooring gig since starting in May 2021 and he is committed to getting better and growing the business. The Hermansens were honored to receive the "Best Reviewed Owner" award for 2022.

I spent most of my professional career as an I.T. Professional Services Program Manager. I have worked for many great companies such as IBM, Cisco, The Home Depot, Synamedia, and BetterCloud to name a few. After my wife was brave enough to make a career change from Corporate Accounting to an AMI Certified Montessori Teacher (and loves it!), I decided that it was time for me to make a change as well. I have always been an active DIY'r and HGTV junkie and felt that I missed my true calling for construction management. After searching for several years, I decided to make a career change and opened my Footprints Floors franchise in 2021. I really enjoy helping my customers complete their projects to improve their most important asset; their homes. I believe that all customers deserve an honest, reputable, and fair contractor that will aspire to deliver 5-star results. Those are the principles that guide me daily.

I have a wonderful wife, 2 young adult children, 2 cats, a sassy Husky and have resided in the Atlanta Metro area for the past 18 years. I am an avid runner and also love to roller skate, hike, kayak and play in the dirt.

Alan is the proud owner of Footprints Floors in North Dallas, servicing the areas of Allen, Frisco, Plano, McKinney and the surrounding area. Born and raised in England, Alan moved from his London home to Ohio in 2007 before relocating to Dallas with his wife, and 3 kids in 2013.

Alan joined the Footprints Floors team after 25 years working in financial services, where he was responsible for many critical customer facing services. This taught him the value of focusing on attention to detail, and responding quickly and thoughtfully when assisting customers.

In his dealing with construction contractors in Dallas, Alan saw a gap and a tremendous opportunity to bring his strong customer focus mentality, and project management skills to the local flooring installation industry.

Alan and his family are active at the local and district level of Scouting (BSA) community, where all 3 kids are cub and boy scouts actively working toward Eagle rank. The whole family enjoys nothing better than tent or trailer camping with their 2 big dogs.
