Before speaking to Kyle at Footprints I thought it was important for me to speak directly with a subcontractor who would personally be performing the floor installation themselves. In doing so it wasn’t clear that these other contractors really heard or would ultimately act on what I was saying, or whether they really cared, often hearing the common refrain “no problem.” Kyle was very effective at listening to and addressing my concerns throughout the entire process and then successfully passing the information and my concerns on to Rudy and Riamundo who followed through on those details during the installation. Effective communication, listening, understanding and follow through are paramount qualities, abilities and skills to possess and employ in order to translate the many details of the job into a quality, thorough execution of the installation. These qualities are not always easily found. I was out of town for much of the process and had to handle details remotely, by phone and text, making these qualities all the more important to my circumstance. Kyle and Footprints was extremely responsive to my phone calls, texts, concerns and needs and they made themselves available in a very validating, accommodating and prompt manner, directly addressing my concerns with excellent listening, communication and follow through skills that turned my vision into a fabulous result. Kyle will answer all of your questions; respond promptly, clearly, honestly, and concisely. He listens and follows through on the detailed execution. He will allow you to be as involved in the process as much as you care to be or take on matters independently. He stands behind his work and will not disappear. At least that was my positive experience. There exists the art and skill and craftsmanship of a Quality Installation as much as there exists the art and skill and relationship skills of Quality Customer Service. Footprints Floors Chicago (FFC) did an excellent job refinishing a bedroom, stair treads and landings. FFC also replaced damaged floor boards in our 1920s era house and expertly matched the existing pine floor boards. We were greatly appreciative of how easy it was to work with FFC as they scheduled our job around the scheduling needs of our family. FFC were timely, efficient and did a great job with minimizing the dust from a very messy job. We will call on FFC when we are ready to tackle our next flooring related project effort.

Footprints was great to work with. I replaced carpet with hardwood in 2 bedrooms. Kyle was a very no pressure salesperson. He came, took measurements and had an estimate back to me within an hour or so. No "if you sign now.." stuff. His pricing was below the competition. I got 6 estimates. They had materials available and I was less than a week from estimate to completion for 2 rooms of hardwood. The men who did the work were efficient and polite. They did a great job and cleaned up well after. The transition from the existing to the new floors is nearly imperceptable. Would definitely use again and would highly recommend.

From the first phone call to the finish of the project, everyone I worked with at Footprints Floors was highly professional. I contacted Footprints Floors for my condo's floor replacement. It needed new subfloor consisting of sleeper strips and plywood, new flooring and baseboards. I hired footprints to redo our floors before we could move into our new condo. So I was pretty concerned with timing so everything could flow smoothly into our move-in date. Kyle gave me a firm date it would be safe to move in, and I was pretty much expecting that date to get pushed back at some point, but they stuck to it. Not only that, but the floors look great, and the whole crew was very easy to work with, transparent with everything, and in the end we're super happy with the look and the entire experience.

I am very happy with the outcome of the work Footprints Floors did on my faux fireplace. It originally had old yellowed and cracked 1920s tile that was beyond saving and Kyle subcontracted with True Tile in a timely manner to come and give the area a fresh update. They were very clean and got the job done quickly. Lately I have heard a lot of stories about people having to wait forever to get on contract for home renovations and I didn’t have to wait long at all for them to come out. Working with Footprints Floors of Chicago was great! Kyle was so easy to communicate with and flexible, and the leader of the project (Aaron) were great. This was my first home improvement project and I know nothing about flooring. Aaron, who was onsite, explained things in an easy to understand manner. While I decided to use carpet for my project, I would absolutely look to consider footprints for a future flooring project. Kyle was super responsive, pleasant, and best of all not a pushy salesperson. I am so happy with the work that Kyle and his crew did in my home. I had my bathroom retiled and my kitchen floor sanded and refinished. Both were in such bad shape that I thought I was sentenced to "luxury" vinyl plank. But Kyle's expertise saved me from that. I am happy to report my kitchen floor is beautiful and my vintage bathroom has the tile it should have had in 1928. The work was done flawlessly and efficiently. It was a great experience in every way!

When my husband and I bought our house, there were three layers of linoleum in our kitchen. We added a fourth layer hoping that would suffice for a while, but it just made it worse. After a bit of searching my husband found Footprints Floors and scheduled a consultation with Kyle. As you can see in the photo, our kitchen has 1950s tile that covers all of the walls and extends down to the floor. We were unsure about how to install baseboards with tile like that, but Kyle wasn't even phased! He said his team had done it before and it wouldn't be an issue. The job was estimated to be three days, but Raymundo was able to finish in two days and the quality is still outstanding. Our kitchen looks incredible! Footprints Floors was also able to match the stain in the kitchen to the color that already exists throughout the house, which hasn't been altered since the house was built in 1952. You can see a little bit of the dining room in the bottom right corner of the photo for comparison. We highly recommend Footprints Floors and will be reaching out to them when we're ready to refinish the rest of the floors in our house!

He also answered a myriad of questions regarding the project which was super helpful. When I finally saw the finished product I was super impressed. The floors turned out so well and much better than I ever anticipated. I have red oak floors that were originally that yellow/golden color. They were refinished with a water based polyurethane and look amazing. Bravo!

Kyle and his team were great. We searched other vendors and even the big box guys, which were cheap options and you get what you pay for. Kyle and his tram went above and beyond in every aspect from transparency, scheduling, materials, finish etc. There work even solved an issue that was from the original builders lack of workmanship. I would highly recommend using Footprints for your flooring needs!

Excellent Quality with minimal wait, at a reasonable price.

We found Footprints Floors on Google and they were one of few who even responded to my inquiry. Kyle was very responsive from the beginning and was able to come out quickly for an estimate. Even with supply chains so backed up right now he was able to get material for our hardwood floors and installed it within our deadline of a few weeks. The work was done very well and the color matching of existing hardwoods was excellent. There was a small area that stained weirdly but Kyle and his team came back and corrected it a day later. He and his team were always on time and were very communicative during the whole process which we greatly appreciated. Overall very happy with Footprints Floors and would definitely recommend them and will be using them in the future for any flooring work!

I could not believe the quality and professionalism Kyle and his team performed. Kyle was quick in response for my estimate and did an extraordinary job in arranging this project while I was out of town. Even though they state they may leave a little dust after the job was completed, they did no such thing. I came home to a tidy clean new floor!
