September Featured Owner of the Month: Shawna Eikenberry, Footprints Floors Raleigh

This month, we had the opportunity to interview Footprints Floors Raleigh owner Shawna Eikenberry.
It was great to get to know Shawna and learn a little bit about what she loves about Footprints Floors. When asked about how she got started with Footprints Shawna had this to say, "I had a full career in public service before I came to Footprints Floors. When my wife landed her dream job in Raleigh while we were living in Dallas, I did consulting work for a little while but hated it. I wanted to help people and DO something, not just talk about how other people should do things. So when we started talking about becoming business owners, we very quickly felt connected to this work. I still love educating our customers and making sure they get good products and service".
Shawna and her wife Amanda live in Raleigh, NC. Shawna said "If you don't know the area, it's worth a visit". Shawna grew up in Kansas City, "which will always be home", but her and her wife fell head over heels for Raleigh the moment they arrived. Shawna and Amanda have three cats: Cholula, Moxie, and Maeby.
When asked what her favorite thing about working for Footprints Floors is, Shawna said "I feel genuinely thrilled in that moment when you're talking to someone about their project, educating and problem-solving together, and you see a light in their eyes when they realize this is happening and it's going to be amazing".
Shawna and her wife are big sports fans and are proud to be season ticket holders for the NC Courage. They also enjoy cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sundays.
